I have owned several pairs of Solomon shoes. I wanted a lighter shoes for the summer. Salomon has never disappointed. Great running shoe. Good support and lots of cushion. Salomon's quality is very good compared to other brands. The lace system give for a snug fit.
This shoe is very stiff at first. I have about 18 miles on them and they just now started to break in. They are not very comfortable on pavement but perfect on the trails. The combination of hard treads and softer sole make it easy to maintain traction in loose or muddy surfaces. The lacing system is fast and easy. They hold to your feet very well. This shoe runs very true to its size. Overall I like them specifically for trail running.
This shoe is nothing to write home about. The speed lace feature is nice but the shoe is very stiff and the tread is to tight to shed any mud or muck.
Not that I thought this would be a mud shoe but some basic ......
