Product Review
This is a nice, fairly light, medium-stability shoe. It does run smaller than other Asics shoes, however. I wear a size 7 street shoe, 7-1/2 in other Asics and am right at the toe in this one. Ok for short runs, but not enough "swelling room" for a long run. Next time, I'd order a full size up (that would be an 8 for me.)
My goal in buying the Asics Gel-Trail Lahar 3G shoes was to continue marathon training outdoors throughout northern Idaho's rainy, snowy, icy winter weather. These shoes are helping me meet that goal. The Gore-Tex uppers keep my feet dry even on rainy days, and the rugged tread grips icy spots surprisingly well. The shoe is fairly stiff with little cushioning, but I'm willing to sacrifice those qualities during inclement weather. I deducted a star from my rating because, like several other reviews indicate, the sizing is way too small. I ordered my normal size but had to return them for an entire size larger......
